Niloy Dutta

Associate Department Head for Graduate Affairs and Professor

Research Interests

Our research is in the area of optoelectronic devices, semiconductor lasers, and telecommunication systems. Current research activities are investigation of: All-optical logic devices and encryption circuits operating at high data rate; Short pulse generation using fiber lasers; Supercontinuum generation using nonlinear effects in optical fibers and planar waveguides; and, Optical coherence tomography.
