M. Munir Islam
Professor Emeritus
Physics
Research Interests
- Analyzing high energy proton-proton and antiproton-proton elastic scattering in the GeV and TeV regions;
- Determining the dynamical mechanisms responsible for the elastic scattering;
- Understanding the nucleon structure revealed by the dynamics;
- Predicting proton-proton elastic scattering at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at center-of-mass energies 7 and 14 TeV and momentum transfer range |t| = 0 – 10 GeV2.
